Completed
Improving the Quality of Education in Rural Areas of Armenia

Summary

The Izmirlian Foundation, in partnership with Teach For Armenia (TFA) and Gradarak Educational and Cultural NGO, supported the improvement of educational opportunities for children and young people in Choratan, a remote border community in Armenia’s Tavush Province, and neighbouring communities. Located six kilometres from the state border and classified among Armenia’s most vulnerable communities, Choratan faced challenges related to both the quality of the learning environment and access to educational opportunities.

The project combined improvements to school infrastructure with direct support to teaching and community development.
